As an experienced programmer and web developer, I undertook the ambitious project of creating a sophisticated internet portal for the Cane Corso Rescue Poland Foundation. The goal was to create an advanced and functional portal, which would not only present the mission of the foundation, but also enable support through donations and participation in the "virtual adoption" program. I utilized the Laravel framework due to its flexibility and efficiency.

Stage 1: Planning and Design

The first step was to meticulously plan the structure of the portal. Collaborating with the foundation, I established key functionalities and designed the layout of the site to be intuitive and user-friendly. During planning, of course, e-support for the foundation's wards was taken into account, as well as all internal functions invisible to the eye of the average user.

Stage 2: Implementation of the Laravel Framework

I chose Laravel as the main framework due to its scalability and security. The implementation of Laravel allowed for efficient content management and easy integration with various tools and services.

Stage 3: Development of the Donation Function

A key element of the portal was the donation function. I implemented a secure payment system that allows users to easily and quickly transfer financial support to the foundation.

Stage 4: Virtual Adoption and Mailing System

One of the unique functions of the portal is "virtual adoption". I created an automated mailing system that regularly informs virtual carers about the status of their wards, delivering current photos and information. It also reminds them that the time has come for the next declared, monthly payment, automatically generating a unique link for donation payment. Ultimately, I also prepared a module showing the history of donation payments for each portal user.

Stage 5: Integration with OLX

To increase the reach of the foundation's work, I integrated the portal with the popular classifieds service OLX. This allows the foundation to more easily reach potential adopters and sponsors.

Stage 6: Additional Modules and Functionality

To streamline the work of volunteers, the portal backend was equipped with additional functionalities such as automated content and multimedia optimization, document and multimedia sections designed for each of the wards, a custom adoption survey solution, and much more. Thanks to this, the entire project was enveloped in one, coherent solution, significantly minimizing the time spent organizing work to a minimum, allowing for more time to be dedicated to the wards.

Stage 7: Testing and Optimization

After completing the coding phase, I proceeded to test the portal. I focused on ensuring that all functions were running smoothly and the portal was resistant to potential security issues.

Stage 8: Implementation and Monitoring

After successful testing, the portal was officially launched. I continued monitoring its operation to ensure stability and responded to any needs for updates or corrections.

Summary

This project is extremely satisfying, both in terms of technological challenges and the social aspect of supporting the foundation. The portal, with its diverse functionality and integration with external services, has become a crucial tool in the activities of the Cane Corso Rescue Poland Foundation, enabling them to expand their operations and increase support for needy animals. As a programmer, I am proud that I was able to contribute to this important initiative.
